The new 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 started shipping to dealerships earlier this week, and it's already showing up in dealerships days later. In fact, customers are already taking delivery of their new Z06s. So naturally it wasn't going to be long before someone slapped one on a dyno, right? Right.

The results? According to Corvette Forum the new Z06 pumps out 585 hp at the rear wheels and 617 lb-ft of torque.

Factor in the pretty standard 15 percent drivetrain loss, carry the 9, and that's about 688 hp and 725 lb-ft at the crank.

For those keeping track, that's considerably more than the 650 hp and 650 lb-ft Chevrolet's claiming.

To be fair, the engine had about 20 miles on it at the time of the dyno pull, and who knows how the dyno was calibrated. So we'll have to wait and see some more dyno results before drawing concrete conclusions.

One thing is for sure: The new 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is a beast.

Hey GT-R and Porsche 911 Turbo owners, who's your daddy?

BONUS: One owner couldn't even leave the dealership parking lot without doing a huge burnout in his new Z06.
